The leads list
Open Leads in the Lead & Partner Finder. The tabs show where you are with each lead: To contact lists leads with an address that you have not contacted yet, followed by Contacted, Replied, Partners, No address yet and All. Search by name, address, website or search term, and filter by source.
Each lead shows where it came from: the YouTube channel or website, the search term that found it, and for an address, the page it was found on and when. YouTube leads link to their channel.
To follow YouTube’s rules, channel names and subscriber counts are refreshed regularly. If they cannot be refreshed, for example because your YouTube key was removed, they are cleared after 30 days. The lead, your notes and its status stay.
Record your outreach
Change a lead’s status to Contacted, Replied, Partner or Not a fit as the conversation moves on. The date you first mark a lead as contacted is kept.
Add a note to remember who you spoke to and what you agreed, up to 2,000 characters. Notes are private to your workspace.
Select several leads to change their status or delete them together.
Add an address or correct a website
If you find an address yourself, add it to the lead. A lead with an address that you have not contacted yet appears under To contact.
If the finder has the wrong website, change it, and the finder looks at the new site for an address. Pages on platforms that many people share, such as social networks, cannot be used as a website.
Try again asks the finder to visit a lead’s website again, for example after the site was down. The limit of one visit per website a day still applies.
Look it up opens the page most likely to list contact details, such as the website’s contact page or the channel’s about page, so you can check it yourself.
The finder will not store an address that is on your Do not contact list, even when you type it in yourself.
Copy addresses and mark them as contacted
- Choose the tab, search and source you want, then choose Copy addresses. Up to 500 addresses from that view are copied, newest first.
- Write to each person individually from your own email account.
- Come back and choose Mark these as contacted. Only leads with the copied addresses that are still under To contact are marked.
If the view has more than 500 addresses, mark the first batch as contacted, then copy again for the next.
Export your leads
Download the leads in your current view as a CSV file from the Leads page, or export every lead from the All tab. The file includes names, sources, addresses and where each was found, websites, YouTube channels, subscriber counts, search terms, statuses, dates and notes. Dates are in UTC.
Not a fit, Delete, Block site and Do not contact
Not a fit keeps the lead with that status, so the same channel or website is not added to your list again. Find it under All, and change the status back at any time.
Delete removes the lead. A later search can find the same channel or website again.
Block site adds the website to Websites to ignore under Settings, then Advanced, and deletes every lead from that website and its subdomains, whatever their status. Future searches and visits skip it.
Do not contact deletes every lead with that address and stops the finder storing the address again, from any source. Use it when someone asks you not to contact them. The website or channel can still turn up again, but without that address. The list keeps only a one-way fingerprint (a hash) of each address, so it cannot be read back.
Delete, Block site and Do not contact permanently remove leads, including their notes. Export a CSV file first if you need a record.
Before you contact anyone
A published address is not a guarantee of deliverability or permission to contact someone.
Check the page where the address was found before you write. Write to each person individually, say where you found their address, and make it easy for them to say no. Follow the email and data protection rules that apply to you and to the people you contact.
The finder never sends email. It has no send button, templates or tracking: you write every message from your own email account or outreach tool.
